Overview
The EG25-G is an LTE Cat 4 module in an LGA form factor measuring 29.0mm x 32.0mm x 2.4mm, which meets the 3GPP Release 11 standard. It is compatible with Quectel’s UMTS/HSPA+ UC20 and UC200T modules, and multi-mode LTE Standard EC2x (EC25, EC21, EC20, EC20 R2.0 and EC20 R2.1) and EG21-G modules, enabling flexible migration between them.
The module delivers maximum downlink rates of 150Mbps and uplink rates of 50Mbps under LTE, and backward compatibility with existing 2G networks ensures connection even in remote areas without 3G or 4G coverage. In addition multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology meets demands for data rate and link reliability.
EG25-G supports Qualcomm IZat location technology Gen8C Lite (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou/Compass, Galileo and QZSS) and the optional multi-constellation GNSS receiver greatly simplifies product design and provides quicker, more accurate and more dependable positioning.
A wide range of internet protocols, industry-standard interfaces and functionalities (such as USB serial drivers for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux, Android) allow the module to serve a wide range of IoT applications such as industrial routers, industrial PDAs, rugged tablet PCs, and digital signage.
