How to optimize LPWA power consumption
Low power wide area (LPWA) connected devices are enabling growing numbers of IoT deployments and, as the name suggests, are particularly well-suited to use cases that demand long battery life. Often deployed in the field for years, these devices need to operate without maintenance or recharging for long periods of time. In addition, device size may be small and low weight putting further constraints on battery size. This Masterclass will reveal the innovations Quectel is bringing to market to maximize battery life by optimizing power utilization. Technologies such as power saving mode (PSM) and extended discontinuous reception (eDRX) are increasingly adopted by the industry. This Masterclass will also explore release assistance indication (RAI) and the differences between PSM and out of service (OOS) mode.
Learn how Quectel’s antenna design and support services help customers design their wireless product and to overcome challenges faced with RF and antenna system design.
