- International Organization for Standardization recognises Quectel’s data protection efforts with ISO27001 certificate
- New R&D center opens in Vancouver
2019
- New R&D center opens in Belgrade
- Becomes global no.1 in revenues ($592m) and units shipped (76m)
- Releases the world’s first 5G modules, helping to open up vast new possibilities in the IoT’s development
- Joins 5GAA, helping to accelerate the connected automotive market

Total number of shipped units reaches 100m by June
Becomes first to market with C-V2X modules, paving the way for smart driving, connected roads and autonomous vehicles
