WIMB tracks your bike’s every move thanks to Quectel’s GSM/GPRS M95 and GPS L70-R

WIMB is installed inside the bike frame. The system is invisible to the naked eye. As soon as a thief touches the bike, the WIMB will warn the bike owner. The bike owner can monitor the bike with his/her phone or online. WIMB protects bikes with the use of GSM and GPS technologies, which is credited to Quectel’s GSM/GPRS M95 and GPS L70-R modules.

Quectel M95 is a Quad-band GSM GPRS modem that works at frequencies GSM850MHz, GSM900MHz, DCS1800MHz and PCS1900MHz. It supports TCP/UDP and HTTP protocols through a GPRS connection. GPRS provides downlink and uplink data transfer speed of up to 85.6 kbps. WIMB has chosen Quectel M95 due to its fast and reliable connectivity. Combining Quectel M95 module with its SIM card offering GPRS coverage, WIMB can warn the bike owner via voice calls or SMS messages when a thief touches the bike.

Besides, M95 supports QuecLocator function, which is the abbreviation of Quectel’s cellular positioning technology. It can provide positioning service in challenging signal environments, such as urban canyon, indoors, enclosed park houses or when GNSS signal is influenced by jamming.

Quectel L70-R is a low cost ROM-based GPS module. Adopting advanced AGPS called EASY™ (Embedded Assist System) technology, L70-R can calculate and predict orbits automatically using the ephemeris data (up to 3 days) stored in internal memory, so L70-R can fix position quickly even at indoor signal levels. Thanks to L70-R’s advanced AGPS and M95’s Queclocator, WIMB can guard the bike while the owner is away.
