Quectel RM510Q 5G module slashes time-to-market for Razer Edge handheld gaming console
Razer, the world’s leading lifestyle and technology brand for gamers, has selected the Quectel RM510Q mmWave 5G module for use in its Razer Edge Android gaming handheld. The latest device combines the unrivalled performance of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 chipset with a 144Hz AMOLED display for great clarity at high speeds, the Kishi V2 Pro console-quality controller for compatible Android and Xbox games and 5G connectivity. The Razer Edge handheld 5G gaming console, which Razer claims is the first to offer 5G, has been optimized for Verizon 5G ultra-wideband connectivity for US users so they can game at home and on the move with reliability, low latency and fast speed.
“The Razer Edge is the ultimate Android gaming handheld, offering gamers their favorite AAA games on the go with zero compromise,” said Joey Hanna, the product marketing manager at Razer. “We used the Quectel RM510Q module to introduce the first 5G-enabled gaming handheld to the market because this mmWave 5G module enables gaming-grade connectivity in the US region. In addition, the RM510Q has a stable software platform that Razer could leverage to shorten time-to-market.”
